The rooms are very practically decorated. It’s small and simple but really all you need. CitizenM knows what a traveler now-a-days need and that’s comfort, efficiency and the feeling of a home, away from home.
The philosophy of CitizenM continues.. CitizenM found out, that when we are at home, we mostly use the bedroom for sleeping and the living-room and kitchen to hang out. That’s why in the rooms its all about sleeping, in the lobby it feels like your living-room and the canteen like your kitchen.
You’ll experience this when entering the room.. All room types are the same. The only choice you have is garden view or city view. Once you’re in the room, you can’t miss the rainfall shower and giant bed. The bed itself is gigantic (2m X 2m), one I would love to have at home! The rainfall shower is amazing. It is specious enough and the amount of water coming down the ceiling makes you feel very comfy and relaxed. You’ll feel as fresh as a daisy afterwards!
All the technology is controlled by the tablet in the room. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and as long as you wish to use it and you can watch unlimited movies free of cost.
In the lobby you can find comfy sofas, seats, dining tables, TV’s and even iMacs for the workaholics.
The canteen and bar are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can take place at the bar, the dining table or at one of the seats in the lobby.
Breakfast is a must go! Especially the fresh coffee in combination with the dates-coconut cake! Finger licking good. Enjoy the breakfast from the buffet like croissants, eggs and bacon, or fruits and yogurt. Breakfast can be booked in advance for only €13.95 (€ 16.95 if purchased on the day).
Same counts for lunch and dinner. Or whenever you’ve got the munchies or just feel like having a drink. The canteen and bar are always there for you!
We stayed at the hotel in Amsterdam Zuid. Its perfectly located (10 minutes by train from the airport and on walking distance of the train station). Every couple of minutes throughout the day, and everyday of the week, trams are going to different directions in Amsterdam, including the city center. But there is no need to leave this area of Amsterdam. There are many nice restaurants and bars located in the neighborhood, there is a stand-up comedy venue on walking distance from the hotel and the Vondelpark, P.C.Hooftstraat and Museum square are a 5 minute drive away too. Many options to make your stay magnificent!
Rooms can be booked from 89 Euro per room per night.
Psst. Do(n’t) tell!
